World Championship - Gold Border

World Championship decks, produced from 1997 to 2004, were special gold-bordered, non-tournament-legal reprints of top-performing decks from that year’s Magic: The Gathering World Championships. Each deck replicated the exact 60-card main deck and 15-card sideboard used by a finalist, showcasing strategies that defined competitive Magic during that season. Cards from these decks have a unique gold border and a different card back, making them legal only for casual play. Despite this, many players prized them for affordability, collectibility, and insight into historical metagames. They remain a nostalgic snapshot of Magic’s professional scene across multiple formats and eras.
