Arabian Nights

Arabian Nights, released in December 1993, was Magic’s first expansion set and drew inspiration from Middle Eastern folklore and One Thousand and One Nights. It introduced unique top-down designs and added flavorful mechanics and settings not seen in the base game. The set featured desert-themed lands, creatures with flavorful abilities, and powerful utility cards. Notable cards include Library of Alexandria, Bazaar of Baghdad, Juzám Djinn, City of Brass, and Ali from Cairo. With its rich theme and iconic cards, Arabian Nights set the tone for Magic’s creative potential.
