Antiquities

Antiquities, released in March 1994, was Magic’s second expansion and the first set centered around a cohesive theme—in this case, artifacts and the legendary Brothers’ War. Nearly every card interacts with artifacts in some way, laying the groundwork for future sets focused on colorless strategies. It introduced the Urzatron lands and several powerful support cards. Notable cards include Mishra’s Workshop, Candelabra of Tawnos, Tawnos’s Coffin, Transmute Artifact, and Urza’s Tower. With its focused design and enduring legacy, Antiquities remains a landmark in Magic’s early history.
