Alternate Fourth Edition

Alternate Fourth Edition refers to a rare and unofficially released print run of Fourth Edition Magic: The Gathering cards, produced in 1995 by the United States Playing Card Company (USPC). These cards were printed as part of a test run and never intended for public distribution, making them a curiosity among collectors. The card content is identical to regular Fourth Edition, but Alternate Fourth cards have subtle differences in font, color saturation, and card stock. The most recognizable tell is the slightly different back color tone and sharper corners. Though not tournament-legal, they are highly sought after by niche collectors due to their rarity and unique production history.
