Onslaught Block

The Onslaught block, released between 2002 and 2003, consists of Onslaught, Legions, and Scourge, and is known for its strong tribal focus and emphasis on creature mechanics. Onslaught introduced Morph and debuted the original Fetch Lands, while supporting popular tribes like Goblins, Elves, Clerics, and Soldiers. Legions followed as the only all-creature set in Magic history, bringing in Amplify, Provoke, and the first widespread use of Double Strike. Scourge shifted the focus slightly to "mana cost matters" themes and introduced Storm and Landcycling. The block also continued Cycling, adding more support for tempo-based and graveyard strategies. Notable cards include Polluted Delta, Exalted Angel, Cabal Therapy, Goblin Piledriver, and Mind’s Desire. With its iconic tribes and impactful mechanics, the Onslaught block remains a favorite for fans of creature-heavy gameplay.
